The Beadle organised his first Christmas Lunch this year, where much fun was had by all.   We went to Watermen’s Hall.  This lovely venue was designed by William Blackburn and dates from 1780.  It is a perfect example of typical Eighteenth Century domestic architecture and is the only original Georgian Hall in the City of London.

Everyone enjoyed a classic Christmas Lunch in beautiful surroundings being serenaded by a group of singers from The Guildhall School of Music & Drama – who returned at the end of the meal to lead all those present in an enthusiastic and tuneful singalong to various carols.  This included a hearty rendition of the Twelve Days of Christmas with alternate verses sung by the “professionals” and the guests.  It was a delightful way to celebrate the Festive Season.
