Inter-Livery Walk, 17 September 2009

The Master and Middle Warden undertook the arduous 8.5 mile sponsored walk round the Square Mile and its 39 Livery Halls.  They smashed their target of £1,000 thanks to the generosity of Company members, friends and family and they raised over £2,000 to be shared between The Charitable Trust of The Worshipful Company of Security Professionals and Child Victims of Crime.

Arriving at Armourers’ Hall at 8am to don their robes they joined other Masters, only stopping briefly at Bakers’ Hall before continuing to the final destination on their route of Drapers’ Hall.  Their footsteps may have been flagging as they reached Vintners’ Hall but fortified ewith a glass of Pol Roger, they set off on the final stretch to  Bakers’ Hall for some light refreshment, they are on their way back to their starting point of Armourers’ Hall.  This is actually an eight mile walk in the Square Mile!

At the time of sending this email, Stephen and Nigel had reached 88% of their target of £1,000.  Please consider helping them to smash this target!  The money raised goes to the Master’s Charity this year, which will be split between Child Victims of Crime and The Worshipful Company of Security Professional Charitable Trust.
